The sun is rising when the Head Nurse calls you into a side ward. ‘This one’s tough,’ she says as you enter. ‘Here,’ – she hands you a chart. Patient’s name, Billy Kerr; age, 60; taken off a flight from Sydney to London following a massive heart attack. ‘A weaker man would be dead already. I think we have to be prepared for the worst. I want you and your team to make sure his remaining days are as comfortable as they can be.’
Holding On: The Troubled Life of Billy Kerr is a co-operative game where players work as Nursing Staff tasked with providing care for the terminally ill. Your latest patient has been rushed in following a massive heart attack on a flight from Sydney to London. When the game begins all you know is this - his name is Billy Kerr, he is 60 years old, and he has been given days to live. Players must work together to provide Billy with appropriate care, responding to medical emergencies while gaining his trust. Over the course of ten linked and fully replayable Scenarios, you will need to piece together a lifetime of memories while being drawn deeper into his troubled past. As you discover more about Billy, can you help him find the courage required to confront the three regrets that keep him holding on?
Pandasaurus Games hat geschrieben: Welcome to the experiential table top game that is going to redefine what it means to play a game. Nyctophobia, which means “fear of the dark”, is a cooperative game of survival in which up to four players must work together to escape a maniacal predator chasing them in a pitch-black forest. But there’s a wrinkle: Would-be survivors play the game with blackout glasses. Players cannot see the board and have to rely on touch to navigate their way to safety. So, are you afraid of the dark?
In more detail, Nyctophobia is a cooperative tactile maze game for 3 to 5 players. All but one of the players play the game completely unable to see the board. The blinded players make up the Hunted team. They are tasked with finding the car space on the board and surviving until the police arrive to rescue them. The sighted player is the Hunter, who is tasked with chasing down the Hunted and reducing one of the Hunted to zero health before the police arrive.
Nyctophobia includes two versions of the Hunter that you can use: the axe murderer and the mage. The axe murderer is stalking you and your friends in the forest, plodding forward without care or thought, chopping down the trees that separate you to get to you all the quicker; this is the most basic and carnal of all of the experiences you can encounter in Nyctophobia. The mage, by contrast, is a trickster. It’s not enough for the mage to hunt her victims. Messing with their mind, manipulating the forest around them, and leaving the blind opponents more lost than when she found them is her aim. The mage can rotate the map, move trees around the forest, and generally confuse the players.

Malte hat geschrieben:Diese beiden Titel "Holding On: The Troubled Life of Billy Kerr" und "Nyctophobia" finde ich irgendwie verstörend.

Play in cooperative-competitive, cooperative, or solitaire modes. If victorious, you achieve the greatest political accomplishment in history: making slavery everywhere illegal.
zuspieler hat geschrieben:Ich finde Holding On: The Troubled Life of Billy Kerr wegen des Themas interessant.

Quined Games hat geschrieben:Today we would like to announce a special game we created. The author of the game is none other than Frank Quispel, one of the founders of Quined Games. His idea was to create a game that you can combine with any other game. This resulted in a game with 11 different modules to add to your games and it is called: The Game Changers. This little box holds 80 cards, which you can use to spice up your game. We’ll elaborate on two of these modules right now!
Foul Play
This Changer lets you cheat… as long as you don’t get caught! Lay out a number of “Foul Play” cards equal to the number of players. You may play dirty during the game, but if you are caught in the act you must take a yellow card and place it clearly visible in front of you (if possible, cover the red part of the card). If you are caught a second time, you receive a red card, which will not remain unpunished! A player must be caught cheating on their own turn. If it is already someone else’s turn, it is too late! If players cannot agree as to whether or not an accused player has cheated, they must hold a vote.
Wild Cards
This Changer, which is split into five smaller modules, allows you to manage the flow of your game. These wild cards deal with analysis paralysis (modules a/b), making mistakes (c), speeding your game up (d), or slowing it down (e). You can decide to use any or all of these modules! At the start of your game, give each player one card from each module (a-e) that you have chosen to use.
On the [ur=https://www.quined.nl/how-to-use-the-game-changers/]game page[/url] on our website, you’ll find more info on the game and be able to download the English rules. This game will be released at Spiel 2018.
